In 2016 the display saw a huge change. The most significant change was the new location for 2016 onwards. We relocated the display to our new family home, just outside Tandragee, which is approximately 25 minutes from our previous home. This opened up so much potential to spread the display out more, something that was consistently and favourably mentioned by the visitors who had seen the display in both locations. The charity total was also our best ever total to date.
The previously developed concept of ‘themed sections’ took on a whole new dimension allowing us to very clearly leave dark space between the sections of the display, increasing the effectiveness of the concept. We have found that dark space is important in any display – lighting up every square centimetre doesn’t necessarily mean a display is well designed.
